Translation platforms cannot replace humans
This is an interesting article about developments in neural machine translation, which is replacing phase-based translation, where the machine translation tool learns context and collocation to make the translation more accurate. I’ve recently been involved in a large-scale project to train a neural machine translation tool to learn Indonesian. As the project progressed, I noticed that the machine translations were improving. However, there is still a long way to go before a machine can accurately detect the contextual nuances of human language.
